Jon Rosen has spent his entire career with CBP, starting out as a Heavy Equipment Operator in 1999. Within a year, Jon was promoted to Superintendent after demonstrating his strong work ethic and leadership skills. He was later promoted to Project Manager in 2011, where he managed one of our largest ash projects to date, overseeing 2,200,000 cubic yards of ash moved and accumulating numerous safety awards. In addition, Jon assisted with recruiting, hiring, and training new employees.
Jon was promoted to Director of Operations in 2021 and was responsible for assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with equipment and personnel needs for each job site. He was actively involved in assessing and maintaining the personnel needs for each job site and would assist the recruitment and HR departments to recruit, hire, and train quality employees.
Jon became such an asset in recruiting, hiring and training that he was the obvious choice to manage and lead the CBP Recruitment and Training Department. In 2023, he was promoted to Director of Recruitment and Training. In this role, Jon is responsible for the following:
Staffing needs of all current and future projects
Recruiting efforts detailed specifically to current and future projects
Oversight of the recruiting Team and their efforts with all new applicants including: screening, interviewing, new hire protocols, and hiring
Ensuring effective communication with project leadership to determine employee needs for each project and the training requirements of all employees
Development of pre screening protocols and assessments to ensure placement of the most qualified candidates on our projects
Provide oversight and assistance to the CBP Trainers who create and provide employee training at all levels
Jon is married to Katherine and has four children. In his spare time, Jon enjoys traveling and playing golf.
